"Commit to the G"

Client: University of Georgia
Project: Tunnel Video
Objective: Before football games, Samuel L. Jackson voices a powerful script played with highlights about what it means to "Commit to the G." In the past, with the exception of football, each team voiced the script themselves, but this year, Georgia wanted to use Samuel L. Jackson for the women's basketball video.
Description: As a new client, we are very excited to be working with the University of Georgia. After discussing what projects we would be creating for the Bulldogs, our Director of Photography, Dustin Schmidt, and Client Representative, Hannah Deutsch, took a trip to Athens to film footage to use for the video. The tunnel video features current players on a dimly lit court, and captures the storied history of the successful women's basketball program by highlighting the program's accomplishments through photos and videos of past players.
Project: Intro Video
Objective: The University of Georgia wanted to create an intro video that would play before the starting line ups were announced and would excite the fans for the game.
Description: While in Athens, Dustin captured green screen footage of the women's basketball team to include in the intro video. In addition to the team, Old Hat was able to shoot a time-lapse of the sun setting behind Stegeman Coliseum. The intro features green screen footage of the upperclassmen, footage of the streets of Athens, notable areas on campus with Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us" song, and game highlights provided by Georiga.
