"But there is no joy in Mudville -- mighty Casey has struck out." This is the final line from the classic poem, "Casey at the Bat," by Ernest Thayer.
A disappointing way to end a poem, but I have great news for the citizens of Mudville: We just rebranded your baseball team. In the poem, the team is called the Mudville Nine. But we thought a change to the "Nines" sounded better.
Brown was chosen to follow the "mud" idea with red as the complementary color because...well...brown is just so boring otherwise.
