That There's An RV, Clark -- All Aboard

As Dustin mentioned last week in his blog, we were headed up to Manhattan last weekend to see the K-State Cat Train in action.  We were thrilled Joni Smoller asked us to recreate such an important part of the gameday tradition for the Cats this summer so we couldn't wait to be there to experience it.  We thought as long as we were there, we would experience everything about the gameday, which it was good that we had two K-State alums with us to show us around.  We met Dustin at his friends' tailgate, which was complete with an RV with a satellite TV playing the MSU-Nebraska game.

We went inside the stadium to check out the facility and the atmosphere.  The student section was rockin' early, which was awesome.  We went on the field for the pregame band performance ...

... and then stood near the team entrance on the field ...

... for the playing of the Cat Train on the videoboard.

It was cool to be back on a field with purple Wildcats running out of the tunnel.  It has been incredible being able to travel around to so many of the schools that we work with and feel part of their team.  Thank you to everyone who has been so gracious to host us through the years!!

After kickoff, Sarah Laha made time to give us a tour of the club, press box, camera deck, etc. despite having a million things to do during the game. Truly appreciate everyone taking the time to make this an awesome trip!

We were surprised to find that you can leave the game and come back in so just for fun, we did that.  There were people in the parking lot watching the game on the videoboard, which was pretty funny. We also saw the men's basketball team stopping by to talk to fans, which is always a great way to cross promote your sports. They were a very friendly group ... a job well done!

After the game, we grabbed some food in Aggieville and spent a little more time with Sarah before she hit the road to Kansas City and we headed back to Oklahoma City.  As we were leaving the restaurant/bar, a random women chased after Robert because she wanted to run her fingers through his curly hair.  It was an awkward moment for our group, but she seemed to think it was normal to have her hand swallowed up in those beautiful curls.  I guess anything goes in Manhattan ...
