The last few weeks the spirit of the holidays has put the Old Hat crew in a sharing mood as we have been reflecting on our favorite moments of 2011. Between going to clients' campuses and a record-number of clients visiting us in Norman, we remembered just how much fun it is spending time with everyone. And what a great way to share ideas and brainstorm new ones.
It got me thinking. How can we be in more places at once? How can we communicate with even more people? Twitter of course! Isn't Twitter the answer to everything these days? Well, we did a little experiment providing free ideas as part of our Black Friday Sale after Thanksgiving. We were excited by the response and realized that brainstorming with sports professionals isn't something to be reserved for the holidays. It's something we are already available to do anytime someone calls or emails us so why not keep the conversations going with more people who can chime in to the discussion.
We kicked off the Twitter Brainstorming on Friday with the hashtag #OH15Days as we countdown to Christmas. Much like our clients use Twitter to communicate with their fans and friends, we thought it would be fun for the bulk of our staff members to spend a day talking with friends and strangers about a field they happen to know something about. Jake was up first providing advice about social media, followed by Ashley with Sponsorship Activation on Saturday and today Jessica had some great conversations with people about technology in the sports industry.
We love hearing from everyone, so we hope you will keep the tweets coming ... serious and fun ones are welcome since that's the Old Hat way!
